CMAHC’s Aquatic Venue Public Health Inspector Course provides health inspectors with the tools and resources necessary when working with operators to help ensure aquatic venues are maintained and operated safely, in minimizing and/or eliminating imminent health hazards at an aquatic venue, and when recommending aquatic venue closures for imminent health hazards.
The course time is approximately 8 hours. Certification is valid for 5 years.
While intended for health inspectors, this course is open to any individual responsible for inspecting public and semi-public pools or aquatic venues.
This course is currently in the pilot phase. The final course, as well as information on how to be an instructor, will be released during Q3 2024.
